Friday Sketchers #3

I'm a little bit late posting this card for this weeks Friday Sketcher Sketch Challenge #3. It seems like I have been moving in slow motion all this week! Moving right along, I brought some images from Pink Petticoat and decided to use the owl image for the challenge. I'm going to give this card to my hubby for Father's Day and I love the sentiment "owl always love you"!
I gently colored my image in with my Copic Markers because I experienced some smearing while coloring. The ink from my copier and the Copic Markers did no blend in harmony! The next time I use these images, I will have to use my Prisma Pencils instead.
The cardstock is Chocolate Chip and Close to Celery. The Designer Paper is from Basic Grey. I brought the flowers at Target's and the ribbon is Chocolate Chip also.
I'm so glad that the week is almost over!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day:)

Just passing the time.........

I really wanted to post something today, but nothing is working for me right now! I made a card earlier but 30 minutes later I hated it!!!! If I try to save it now, I'll only make it worse. So tomorrow....when everything slows down, I'll try to save it.
In the meantime........How about some "what type of car are you" information. Have a great night and I'll be back tomorrow!

Take this test!
The car for you is none other than an off-road, four-wheel-driving SUV. A Toyota Landcruiser, Nissan Pathfinder, or Jeep Cherokee—take your pick. How about something in a forest green or steel blue? Maybe you're fronting as a serious professional, but deep down you're a weekend warrior at heart. Whether it's a fishing trip deep in the wilderness, or just a quick road trip to some quaint little town—your spontaneous side needs to know that you can go anywhere at a moment's notice. Even if you're too busy with work and family obligations to head to the mountains every weekend, that spirit of outdoor adventure lives inside you. You're game for any kind of fun when the opportunity arrives. That's what those stylish roof racks are for. Boarding, surfing, or biking, you're a gear fanatic who needs the right stuff for the sport at hand, and your SUV is the crown jewel of your adventurous lifestyle.

...

Take this test!
Your ways with lipstick tell us that you're the girl next door everyone always wanted to know. You've got a laid-back style and a sweet way that charms people immediately...and often.

Never one to pretend to be something you're not, you prefer to keep things simple, including your makeup. We seriously doubt you'd have a shade of lipstick to match every outfit and mood. Besides, you don't need it — your fun and friendly personality always shines through. That's keeping it real!

Selective Sunday "Manly Card"

I finished this card earlier this week and was saving it for Father's Day. The kids are going to give this card to their dad (The king of the grill) While browsing around Allison's blog last night,I discovered this weeks Selective Sunday Theme is about Manly Cards. Well...my card is the manliest but it is a Father's Day Card though.
Thank you for all of the inspiration and ideas Allison...keep em coming!

Before I get to the details of my card, I hope everyone has a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend! We aren't doing anything special for the holiday, the weather is supposed to be nice and my hubby will probably get his grill out. Yummy...food tastes so much better when cooked on the grill!

The stamp is from Stampendous and the sentiment (King of the Grill) is computer generated. The cardstocks are from SU and the DP is unknown. Inks are Adirondack (Pitch Black) and Copic Markers. Embellishments are copper brads, corner punch,Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Spellbinders Nestabilities Templates, ribbon and extra fine glitter

Thank you for stopping by and have a safe and happy holiday weekend! If all goes well, I plan to stamp as much as possible.

Fun Card for a kid!

Hello everyone!

I would have posted earlier but a girlfriend of mine talked me into playing bingo tonight. Neither one of us won a dime! I tell you...it's nerve racking to be "in" (only needing one number to win) and your number doesn't show up in the monitor. *grimace*
I finished this card this morning and its a birthday card for a young girl. The stamp is a Whipper Snapper Stamp. The paper is from my scrap stash and the turtle is colored in with Copic Markers. I wanted to add a smile to my turtle but, I was afraid that I would ruin it. To make this lil guy fun, I added a pair of small google eyes. I'm a big kid at heart and google eyes still make me laugh! Years ago my husband brought me the ugliest card in the store for Valentines Day. *My husband has awful taste in choosing cards and he knows it!* The only thing that saved him from a series of eye rolls were the google eyes! I wanted to be mad but the google eyes made me laugh so hard that tears were rolling down my face. Well...enough idle chatter for me. I'm off to bed and I hope that everyone has a great evening!

Friday Sketchers #2

I hope that everyone had a great weekend! For the first time in almost 2 wks. today was a "normal" day. I didn't have to rush here or there and was able to sit down as long as I pleased. *grin*
I made this card for Friday Sketchers and my card is based on sketch #2. I discovered this challenges from Kimmie of Kimmie's Korner. I wanted to make a card for the first challenge last week but I didn't have time. Here is my take on the challenge. This cute stamp(Cecily Cinnamonsticks) arrived last Friday from Stamping Bella and I couldn't wait to "ink her up"! To keep the fairy theme going, I kind of splurged on the embellishments. But in my mind, I see fairies surrounded by swirls, glitter dust and pretty sparkles. To keep my vision "sane" I opted for the pearls instead. lol I'm not sure of what my sentiment will be yet, so I left that area blank for now.

Details
stamp: Stampin Bella ,card stocks: Papertrey Ink and SU, DP: from my stash, Spellbinders Nestabilities circle Templates, inks: Adirondack (Pitch Black) and Copic Markers, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, sm. scallop scissors, white pearls, flowers, ribbon and extra fine glitter.

Thank You for stopping by and have a great day! :)

Yeah it's

Am I ever glad that this week is ova!!! When I worked everyday, the hours ticked by and it took forever for the weekend to arrive. Now that I no longer work, the days whiz by and it's Friday before I know it....whew!!! So much going on and all at one time it seems. Hopefully life will slow down a bit when the kids get out of school.

Today is another busy day, my hubby and I are going out of town. When I return, I will catch up on all the blogs that I have missed. Until then....I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend and I will see you all Sunday!

RAK and candy to share!

I won some blog candy from Marlou and it finally arrived yesterday! I love the RAK she sent and the felt button with the little heart pin if so cute!!! I also love the goodies she sent me. The little white bag in the picture has the cutest charms ever inside!! I tried to get a close up picture of the charms but the details were to blurry.
I really wanted to post a card today but, today has been one of those days! I've had several errands to run and I haven't had a chance to sit down for 10 minutes in peace. Hopefully after dinner, I can finally relax and finish my projects.
Have a good day and thanks for stopping by:)
