My beautiful RAKs from my friends:)

From Stamper Gail

From Rita Santos

From Michelle Sturgeon

From Rachael Vaughn on my Spice Angel Team

Hello everyone!
I want to share my beautiful RAKs from my friends with you. Thank you ladies so very much for your acts of kindness. I will never forget and be on the "look out" for some "happy mail" coming your way! I have another RAK to share tomorrow from Jana. Somehow her card stuck to the lining of my bag. After looking all over the house for her card, I found it in my bag. I haven't forgotten you Jana and I will post your card tomorrow.:)

I did manage to make a few cards....

I did manage to assemble a few cards while I was out of town. What I did was take my assortment of incomplete cards and added different touches to the cards in my spare time. I would apply a dab of removable adhesive to hold my ideas in place. After I carefully unpacked everything, I took my pre-assembled cards and applied permanent adhesive after I was satisfied with my creations. I used the latest stamp set from Verve Visual for these cards. I really regret not finishing the Easter Card in time. This is a very pretty set from Verve Visual. I colored the eggs in with my Copic Markers and applied glitter to enhance the eggs this afternoon. The cards with the flower in the center are actually ATC's. I made these ATC's using the Verve Visual Stamp also. I pre-stamped the image twice. The main flower image I stamped it and used my scallop punch. I then adhered the scalloped image to the tiny ATC. Later, I cut out the second flower image and used pop dots for the 3-D effect. I added Dew Drops to the centers and embellished the flowers with glitter. The designer paper and ribbon are from Papertrey ink.(Moss Collection) My first of many Thank You cards was made with the same concept as the ATC's.

I also have a few more cards posted on my TAC blog also. Thank you all for stopping by.

I'm back................

Hello everyone and I would like to say thank you to everyone for all of their kind comments and for the beautiful cards I have received.
My husband and I went "down south" after my dads funeral and I really needed the time away to mend. I feel so much better and I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. Once again, I really want to thank my friends for the beautiful cards that I have received and the comments were very comforting to me. Thank you all so very much for all of your acts of kindness. You guys are the best!!!

I was going to download pictures of my cards but I have to re-charge my camera batteries. Tomorrow I will post pictures of my cards.

I'm going to be away for a while.

Hello everyone!

I received some bad news recently....my father passed away suddenly over the weekend! I experienced a series of emotions after hearing the news. my emotion levels ranged from shock, anger and finally pain. When I was a child, I worshipped the ground he walked on. In my eyes....my daddy was the best daddy in the world! When I was eight years old, my mom and dad divorced. I remember that I wasn't sure what the word "divorce" meant and I still thought everything would be alright. Well it wasn't, I didn't see or hear from my dad until I was adult with my own children!
My hurt turned into anger and sometimes hate for him. How could he do this to me? Did he ever care about me or my brothers?
I asked him those questions a few years ago and he broke down and cried. Once again I forgave him. I told him that all was forgiven, we can't "go back" we can only move forward. My dad made so many teary promises and disappeared from our lives again. I never heard another word from him or about him until this past weekend. Now he's gone forever! I have had a heavy weight on my shoulders the past few days. I made up my mind that I will do the right thing and attend my dads funeral with my brothers and family. I don't know why some people hurt the ones they love, life can be very difficult to understand at times. I have forgiven my father and may he rest in peace knowing that all is forgiven.

*When we return from West Virginia and I get a lot of "stuff" sorted out, I will return to commenting on all the beautiful cards and projects again. I just have to "get my self together"! I keep telling myself that things will get better soon and in my heart I know they will:)

Poetic Artistry Sketch Challenge #27

Every Monday Julee of Poetic Artistry has a different Mojo Monday challenge. This card is for Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #27. Julee's prior Mojo Monday challenge #26, threw me out of my comfort zone but I haven't given up on it yet. I'm still working with it. lol Hopefully I will finish working on that beautiful sketch by this weekend. I love sketch challenges and my goal is to use incorporate different challenges for all of my Easter Cards.

The stamp and sentiment are from High Hopes. The inks are Adirondak Pitch Black and Copic Markers. The base card stock is from Papertrey Ink and the remaining papers and ribbon are from my scrap stash.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Yeah!!!! today is and what are your plans for the weekend? I'm planning to spend Saturday coloring images and making Easter Cards. My kids are supposed to spend the day with their grandmother and I'm going to take advantage of my temporary freedom.
So until Monday.....I hope that everyone has a beautiful weekend. See you Monday and thank you for stopping by!

Belle of the Ball

I've been a busy stamper today and I'm amazed that I finally accomplished a few cards! The past week and a half I couldn't make a card at all....my mind went completely blank! Fast forward......this Bella Stamp is a gift from my friend Stamper Gail! Thank you Gail, I love this Bella very very much. I haven't decided on a sentiment yet so I left that area blank for now. I stamped my gate image from High Hopes Rubber Stamps and stamped the Bella image separately. After I colored my Bella, I cut out the image and mounted it on top of the gate image with pop dots. The card base is stamped with swirls in Barely Banana Ink.

stamps: Stamping Bella Stamps, the gate is from High Hopes and swirls are from TAC
paper: Papertrey Ink Stampers Select and pieces from my stash
inks: Adirondak Pitch Black and Copic Markers
ribbon from my stash and I also used mini- brad and my corner punch

My beautiful RAKs from my friends:)

I'm sorry that it has been a while since I have posted anything. I've been in a creative rut these past few weeks and I had to take a break. I was so anxious to create cards but the energy wasn't there. I found myself destroying rather than creating. I hate it when I get this "crafters blockage"! Anyhow, I received some beautiful RAKs from my friends and these cards really helped to cheer my spirits. Thank you ladies so very very much:)
