ISS Back To School Blog Hop!

Hello Everyone,

It's time for another InStyle Stamps Blop Hop and this month's theme is "Back To School"! I realize that quite a few children have already returned to school but in my area, the kids return to school the day after Labor Day. However, I am ready...more than ready...for them to return. I miss my quiet mornings:)

My card features Janice and I also included a nugget tin for a gift. The nuggets were wrapped with matching DP and I simply made a bellyband to embellish the tin. My card is simply embellished with gems and a couple of die cuts from DCWV grade school paper stack.

Be sure to stop by and see all of the ISS DT back to school creations. The DT names are on my side bar. I also want to say that sadly this is my last blog hop with InStyle Stamps. I have had an awesome time working with such beautiful people and the experience is invaluable!

Have a great day and thanks so so much for stopping by!

Hello and Happy Monday!

This weeks WOJ challenge is to make a card based upon this sketch drawn up by the talented Rach ( Paper Crafts By Rach ) Thanks for the inspiration Rach, I see myself using this sketch idea again and again!

The designer paper is from DCWV Nana's Kids paper stack and the card stocks are by Bazzill and Papertrey Ink. Other embellishments are flowers, half pearls, ribbon and a button. * Oops....I've just realized that I forgot to adhere my corner piece....geez!..smacking my head with my hand moment!*

Anise Ketto

Hello and Happy Sunday!

I have been a fan of Stamping Bella's Ketto images from the beginning and finally brought one of these gems a few weeks ago. I got around to inking her up a Friday and I tell ya' these images are super cute! I have to have more!!! *lol*

The design paper for my card is by DCWV. I seriously love their design paper, the light and airy patterns are beautiful to me. After planning my layout, I stitched together the pieces of DP to my double scalloped border and adhered it to the base card.

Anise is colored in with Copic Markers and I used the square Nestie dies to mat her. I embellished my image with extra fine glitter and applied Liquid Pearls to the trim of her dress. The scalloped borders are embellished with half pearls and I dabbed a bit of yellow Stickles on the flower centers. The sentiment is from TAC (The Angel Company) I punched out the sentiment and trimmed the yellow mat with scallop scissors.

Whooo Hooooo...I can finally relax and play!

Hello Everyone and Good Morning to you all!

I'm so glad that we are finished with our den, at least for now that is. We will finish our work after the electrician does his thing and install more electrical outlets in the room. The final step will be to decorate and buy furniture....I'm looking forward to the shopping part! *lol*

In the meantime, I've been longing for my craft room all week and today I could finally create something in a peaceful atmosphere. I made two cards this evening and was tempted to make another card but changed my mind and watched TV with the family instead.

I missed ISS weekly challenge this week and made up for it by creating a card featuring Trent.

I based Trent's uniform color off of my sons favorite cartoon hero, Naruto.
Trent is colored in with Copic Markers and the sentiments are rub-ons that were matted on pieces card stock. The design paper is by Disney and the card stocks are Bazzill and Papertrey Ink's Stampers Select. To further embellish my card, I cut out two tabs with SU's Window Punch, folded them in half and added orange brads. I also used the rectangle Nestie dies and ribbon.

Have a great day and thank you all so much for stopping by! I will be making rounds all morning catching up on and viewing your awesome creations.

Another Gorjuss Girl!

Hello Everyone,

Life is very busy for me at the moment but somehow, I am squeezing in time for a card or two. We are busy working on a few home improvement projects that we want to finish before the kids return to school in September. So...my house is turned upside down right now but I know our hard work will pay off in the end.

I finished putting the card together this evening and was really glad that everything came together rather quickly. My image (Little Goth Girl) is colored in different shades of purple and with just a touch of pink.

The base card was fashioned by using my largest Nestie's Curved Rectangle Die. I used the second largest curved rectangle die and cut out two pieces of scrap design paper, cut out equal size pieces for the quilt look and sewed them together. I ran the finished piece through my Cuttlebug to give the quilt a little texture.

My image is colored in with Copic Markers and the card is embellished with flowers, pearls and ribbon.

Now I have to rush off the computer and over-see what goes out on the curb for trash removal. I have a feeling that we aren't going to be too popular tomorrow morning because we have a lot of stuff to set on the curb. *lol*

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

hugs

Below are a few pictures of our three season patio that we are in the process of converting into a den. At one time, we used our patio as a "catch-all" for stuff that we didn't want in the main part of our house. Before we laid the tile, our three season porch was busy but in a orderly fashion. We just piled everything back in temporarily to get the stuff off our back porch. Now that the tile has been laid, we have to sort through everything and decide what we will keep, sell, give away and throw away! Whew!!!
