WOJ Challenge #36

Hello Everyone,

This weeks WOJ Challenge is to make a card based on the sketch drawn up by the talented Heather! I definitely will use this sketch again, I love the layers!

The name of my image is Shy Willow and she is part of WOJ's spring collection. The sentiment is from a pack of sentiments from MFT. The design papers are by DCWV (Nana's Kitchen 8x8 paper pad) and Bo Bunny's glitter paper. The card stocks are from SU and Neenah Solar White. Inks used were Copic Markers. To embellish my card, I used ribbon, flowers, MS lace punch and half pearls.

I hate to sound like I'm rushing, but I have another busy day ahead of me. So many things to do and on top of that, the holiday is only a few days away!!!! Where has the summer gone?!

Take care and thank you all so much for stopping by!

hugs

ROP & JM...Two Challenges...One Card and C.C. Designs!

Hello Everyone,

I should have titled my post, "When Good Ideas Go Bad"! It seems that "Mr. Mojo" was up to his old tricks and both cards gave me the blues. I spent way too much time on both and in frustration, I called it quits!!! For example, the Roses on Paper/ Just Magnolia card was going well until I decided to add yellow for Tilda's lace trim. The purple/yellow combination only looked good in my mind. I tried to cover the hideous yellow by adding blue glitter and made it worse! Anyhow, after I get myself together, I plan on scraping off the glitter and color the trim in a deeper shade of lavender.

Back to the double challenge. The ROP challenge is to make a card combining challenges. The only requirement is that you use flowers. So...I decided to incorporate the Just Magnolia Challenge which is a sketch challenge with the ROP Challenge. The sketch was designed by the talented Bev (All The Things I Love). Thanks for the inspiration Bev!

Card Details......
stamp Magnolia (Pink Collection), c/s Neenah Solar White and SU's Whisper White, DP DCWV, Nesties round dies, MS lace punch, Swiss Dots embossing folder, ribbon, flowers, half pearls, and extra fine glitter

New Digi Download from All That Scraps.......May I introduce you to KiKi!

Kiki is really adorable and I simply wanted to have fun with this image. Kiki reminds me of a collection of dolls that I had when I was a kid. Each doll was only about an inch in height and they had different shades of hair that was scented according their hair color! (red hair..cherry scent, green hair ..green apple scent etc.) I can't remember the name brand of these dolls but I loved them!

Going along with the 4th of July theme, I layered the background with fun 4th of July design papers.

Card details.................
image C.C. Designs Digi Images...July KiKi, sentiment Stampendous, c/s Bazzill and Neenah Solar White, DP PTI and Best Creation Inc., Nesties rectangle dies, corner notch punch, Copic Markers, extra fine glitter, liquid glass, half pearls and ribbon
.

After a long day playing woth my crafts, I'm going to take a break and serve dinner. I feel hungry eyes burning holes through my back. *lol*

Enjoy what is left of your evening and thank you all so much for stopping by!

WOJ Challenge #35...Paper Piecing!

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a nice and restful weekend! After taking a weekend break away from my craft room, it felt refreshing to return to it today. I made this card for WOJ's Paper Piecing Challenge.
My image is an older WOJ image but I think Angel Charlotte is rather cute! The details of her dress and apron are a bit larger and easier for paper piecing. (to me at least Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net )

I'm going to keep this post rather brief. I have a ton of things to catch up on after my mini two day vacation. Millan.net I also have to catch up on my blogging and stop by and see your beautiful cards and creations.

Card details........................
stamp WOJ Angel Charlotte, c/s Bazzill and Neenah Solar White, DP Doodle Bug (Cupcake, Sprinkles, Pink Lemonade) SU, Nesties oval dies, Copic Markers, flowers, buttons, ribbon, one charm, scrappers floss, extra fine glitter and Friskars Water Threading Punch.

Have a beautiful evening and thank you all so much for stopping by!

More Fun With ISS Digi Download Paper!

Hello Everyone,

This entire week has been a nightmare....so many things to do and so little time to get everything done! Thank goodness today is Friday!

Today I want to share another sample of InStyle Stamps digi download paper. The name of this design paper is White Circles and Posies.

I made a note card (4x4) and altered a small tin with the digi download paper. Leila is my image and I colored her with my Copic Markers. I embellished my image with tiny Prima Flowers and used Nesties Label Four die. Due to the fact that I'm not crazy about the large gap between the Label Fours dies, I followed this quick tip demonstrated by the extremely talented Bev (All Things I Love). Thanks for the inspiration Bev!

I also altered a small tin using the White Circle and Poises digi download paper. The scalloped circles were made using my neglected Marvey circle and scallop punches. I used my 1 1/2" circle punch and punched out the top half of Leila's image. Initially, I was going to simply add a flower to the lid, but I think I like Leila's image better.

Card and altered tin details.............
image Leila (digi download), c/s Neenah Solar White and SU textured , DP ISS White Circles and Poises, inks Copic Markers, Nesties Label Four dies, Prima Flowers, half pearls and ribbon

Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget dad on Father's Day!
We are going out of town for the weekend and I'm really looking forward to a little R&R. Take care and thank all of you so much for stopping by! I'll be back Monday:)

LOTV Challenge #30...Paper Piecing!

Hello Everyone!

Today is Thursday and time for another Lili of the Valley Thursday Challenge. This weeks challenge is paper piecing! This technique is very easy and lots of fun! In a way, it reminds me of when I played with my paper dolls when I was a kid. Do I hear anyone asking "what in the world are paper dolls!" lol Just joking:)

I wanted to do more with this card, but yesterday went by in a blur and I wasn't able to embellish it the way I had planned. I tell you, lately the days seem like minutes and then it is over!

To see the LOTV beautiful DT cards, click here , you will definitely be inspired by some beautiful cards! Remember......you have two weeks to finish your card and you can use any stamp that you like. To submit your card for the challenge, simply link your card to LOTV blog. We can't wait to see your beautiful creations:)

Is it a card..OR Is it a folder....Why not BOTH!

Hello Everyone and I hope that you had a beautiful and relaxing weekend!

When I became aware of the existence of the "blogging world", I would try different projects and fail miserably! I tried this folder a few years ago and it looked awful!!! I didn't have a lot of the necessary tools then and "eye balling" measurements doesn't always get it. In other words, I wasn't paying attention to links and blog names at that particular time and I don't know who to give credit to for this folder. On a happier note, I just want to thank who ever you are for the inspiration!

My card/folder is perfect for that special gift because the recipient gets a lot of treats all packed into one neat folder. The inside pockets are capable of holding images, small packs of flowers and other goodies.

If you are interested in the details to making this folder, my second ever tutorial is posted on InStyle Stamps blog under Method Monday!

I took a picture of the majority of the supplies that I used. The image is Mellie and she's from InStyle Stamps. the image is from SU. The card stocks are from SU and the DP from PTI. I used my Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder to emboss the second mat.

Thank you all for stopping by and I hope your have a great day! Today the temps. are supposed to reach 80 degrees and all I can say is "It's about time"! The temps. have been rather cool around here lately and 80 degrees would remind me that summer is actually here! Have a good one!

Hugs
