Stamp Something's Layout Challenge

I made this layout for Stamp Something's layout challenge. According to the rules the layout has to have the following... A title, 3 buttons, 2 different types of ribbon, 4 brads, 2 stamped images and pictures of only yourself! (making a layout with pictures of yourself is hard!!!) This was a bit tricky but I did my best and this is my interpretation. Thanks for the challenge and the inspiration Alex!

I'm sorry for the bad lighting, my layout would not fit into my picture box and it was impossible to get a good picture. Have a wonderful evening and thank you for stopping by:)

OOC's Christmas in July Theme Challenge

I'm trying to keep up with Our Creative Corners (OCC) weekly challenges. Its tiring but these challenges keep me busy. This weeks theme is Christmas in July! My stash of Christmas DP is "nill" and I had to use pieces from my scrap pile. The dimensions of these cards are 4 1/4 X 4 1/4. the stamp is from The Cats Pajamas and the sentiment is from SU's Circle of Friendship Set. The DP is from my stash and I used Spellbinders die templates to mat my image. The inks are Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers. Other embellishments are ribbon, Dew Drops and paper pierce tool.

I also have a couple of awards to post.

The BFF award is from Stephnie! Thank you so much for awarding me Stephie! I'm going to check around to see if I have any friends left to nominate. This award is very popular right now:)

This award is from Marlou! Thank you Marlou, you are very kind!

Thank you for stopping by and have a beautiful day:)

Another Froggy Card plus an Award!

Here's another card I made using the images that I downloaded from Pink Petticoat. After I download the images, I will proceed to color in a few and set them aside for later. So... when I'm pressed for time, I simply put a card together and choose a pre-colored image for my card and presto....a quick card!!!! Well..... my version of a quick card! lol

I also have been awarded this award byIla ! What a pleasant surprise and thank you very much Ila! Now I have to award 5 people and this part really sucks for me because I enjoy every blog that I visit and to only choose 5 people is a tough decision for me!

The rules of this award are............

1. Only 5 people allowed.

2. 4 have to be dedicated followers of your blog

3. one has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world.

4. you must link back to whoever gave you the award.

This is my way of saying thank you for visiting my blog and I truly wish that I could have given an award to everyone!!!

1. Deb N.
2. Jana
3. Barb W.
4. Anna P.
5. Mel....New!

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by:)

Friday Sketchers #11 and Our Creative Corner's Dry Embossing Challenge

Happy Monday everyone and I hope your weekend was a nice one:)

I've been super busy coloring the images that were sent to me by Nicola. I wasn't able to use my Copic Markers so I had to play with my Prismacolor Pencils instead. Yes....my poor neglected limited supply of Prismacolor Pencils were screaming for attention and I gave it to them! lol (I desperately need to invest in a larger color selection)

I guess I felt pretty energetic today because I completed two cards! Yeah for me!!!
I made these cards for Friday Sketchers #11 sketch challenge and for Our Creative Corner card Challenge. I found Our Creative Corner's blog by browsing different blogs and decided to give their challenge a try. Here is my take on the sketch provided by Friday Sketchers DT and my take on the embossing theme challenge from Our Creative Corner.

Details......
Magnolia images a gift, sentiment Su's Circle of friendship set, the butterfly is from Pink Cat Studio, c/s Papertrey Ink and Bazzill, inks Prismacolor Pencils & OMS and lavender and ocean blue chalk inks, Spellbinders oval and circle templates, ribbon Really Resonable Ribbon, flowers Myra Road, Dimensionals, Signo White gel pen, extra fine glitter, paper pierce tool, Dew Drops and pearls. Super Quick Card!

Today was a busy one for me but I did find time to make a quick card. The image is another download from Pink Petticoat and the DP is from my scrap pile. I used my paper pierce tool, pearls, Dew Drops, Signo Pen,and ribbon(Papertrey Ink) to embellish. Both card stocks are from Papertrey Ink and I colored my image in using my Copic Markers. I also used Spellbinders rectangle template dies to mat my image. I almost forgot to mention that I used extra fine glitter as an embellishment as well.

Have a great day everyone and thank you for stopping by:)

Strut your stuff!

I turned a goof- up into a good thing with this card. While I was measuring my 12X12 piece of cardstock, I somehow overlooked my measuring point on my Scor Pal! I didn't notice the error until I cut my card stock on my paper trimmer!!! I was really mad at myself at first and then I calmed down and said to myself "you are going to USE IT as it is" and that is what I did! The card face is shorter(3 1/2 X 5 1/2) and the rear is the standard card size ....to this day I don't know how I messed up the measurements!! Anyhow, after I jazzed the card up, I was pleased with the results! To give the card some balance, I cut a piece of DP (Glitz Paper Co.) and used my scallop scissors for a decorative border. Then I attached the DP to the inside of the card and layered a smaller piece of c/s to the DP for a finished inside look. The scalloped border serves as an decorative edge.
The card front's DP is by the Glitz Company and I used White c/s to mat it. Both stamps and sentiment are from the Odd Bird Planet (formally Just Johanna's). I stamped the flamingo and floral flourish on an imaging sheet using my thing-a-ma-jig. Then I lined up the imaging sheet on the oval shaped c/s and stamped both of the images. I colored in the images with my Copic Markers and embellished with extra fine glitter. Although it sounds like it was a lot of work, once I "got into it" everything came together rather quickly and I was pleased with the outcome!

Details:
stamp and sentiment: Odd Bird Planet, c/s Papertrey Ink and Bazzill Black and Rose Shimmer, DP Glitz Paper Co., Spellbinders oval templates, inks Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers, flowers SU and Prima, ribbon Really Reasonable Ribbon, scallop scissors, paper pierce tool, brads and Dew Drops
