Spooky Spiders?

Yesterday was my husbands birthday and the kids and I treated him like a king. We went to see a movie, went out to dinner and just browsed various stores. By the time we returned home, I was too tired to do anything. However I did finish my card this morning and here it is.
The spider stamp and "Eek!" sentiment are from Impress Rubber Stamps. The cardstock is Papertrey Ink White and Bazzill. The designer paper is Kay&Co. The brads are Making Memories, ribbon is from May Arts and the Googly Eyes are from Impress Rubbers Stamps and they are size small. I used Spica's Glitter Pen on the spider's body and pop-dots to give it dimension. After I stamped my image, the spiders looked "flat" so I stamped three additions images. I then cut out and trimmed the spiders body, applied pop dots and placed the trimmed image directly over the original stamped image. To enhance the spider, I used my Spica Black Glitter Pen and I applied the small googly eyes to give him that menacing look!* giggle*

Just a litte something..

I couldn't make up my mind on any particular sentiment for this card. I have accumulated quite a few sentiments but none corresponded with the stamp. So I'm going to leave the card as is for now and I will come up with something trendy later.

Quilted baby girl card

I made this card for a friend of mine whose daughter is going to have a baby girl. While visiting Kwerner's blog I was very inspired by a card that she made using small squares. And then I thought about Maria Bell who has a goal to utilize all of her scraps this week. Well I have a bunch of scraps in my container. So I coordinated different shades of pink to make a baby quilt for my card. I used my scallop rectangle punch on the various scrap pieces. After shuffling the pieces around to sort of resemble a quilt, I thought about what type of embellishments to use. I decided to use buttons, Prima Sprites, pearls and pink floss. The pearls and floss come from a scrapbook kit. I used my scallop scissors to make the edge resemble lace and used my paper piercing tool to pierce holes in the white cardstock layer.
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Little Lady Set and I used Impress' Old Rose for the ink. The ribbon came from Michaels and the bace layer of cardstock is Papertrey Ink White and the pink cardstock is from Bazzill. I think I'm going to make another card like this only this time I will use various shades of blue.

There is a 4% chance that...

There is a 4% chance that the blog quiz (about the aliens) is right! I think the aliens "musta got a hold of me" yesterday! This card is only 4X4, all I wanted to do was make was a Halloween TAC! This little card got the best of me...I put this on it, took that off it, re-stamped .....you name it I did it. I got so frustrated that I had to just leave it alone! I'm going to set this baby aside for a couple of days and come back with a "fresh pair of eyes"! Hopefully the aliens will be gone and I can get down to business. Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by.:)

Finally made a card.....

Well I finally made a card that didn't drive me nuts! The construction of this card fell right into place. The stamp comes from a set of clear Penny Black Stamps. I love these little guys too and the whole set is really cute. (you get a total of nine stamps! for under $20.00) I brought this set from the The Eclectic Paperie, a really nice on-line store.

The designer paper is from Impress Rubber Stamps and the cardstcok from Papertrey Ink and Bazzill (red). The inks used are Palette (black) and Stampin Up (really red). I used my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol to color image. The sentiment is Stampin Up and the ribbon is an assortment from Michaels. I also used Stickles on this card.

There's a 4% Chance You've Been Abducted By Aliens

There's virtually no chance you've been abducted by aliens.
But there's always hope for the future!

How Creative Are You????

Today was one of those days that I attempted to make a card. However, I just couldn't get my hands to do what my mind was telling them to do! So insted I'm posting a blog quiz. These are fun and help out when you have cards that are not presentable to the public.
You Are 78% Creative

You are beyond creative. You are a true artist - even if it's not in the conventional sense of the word.
You love creating for its own sake, and you find yourself quite inspired at times.

Another Birthday Card!

Here is another birthday card that I received in the mail this week. This card is from Sheree Bowman. If I am not mistaken, this is a Kick Stand Card. I love the colors and Sheree did an awesome job coloring in the image. Thank you so much Sheree!

For a sweet little girl.

This card is for a special cousin in our family. She stayed with us a month and is now back at home in Florida. We miss her a lot and my dsd(darling step-daughter) asked me to make a card for her. She wanted a card with our cousins favorite color, which is pink and she wanted a sentiment stating that our cousin is missed.

cardstock: Bazzill and Papertrey Ink (white), patterned paper by Deja Views
stamp: Penny Black
sentiment: SU
inks: Pallette's Black ink and Claret, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol
tools: SU's 1 3/8 circle punch
ribbon: From my ribbon stash and buttons are unknown. The gem came from the dollar store and I used Stickles also.

It looked good on paper...

I made a card for Carla's Sketch Challenge. My layout for my card looked good on paper. All I had to do was cut and measure the card stock and stamp my images. The pieces of the puzzle were falling into place and I was pleased with the outcome. Then I got this BIG Idea, why not make the lady bug wings have a gloss...you know like the real thing! I applied some WET LOOKS to the wings and the flowers and let it dry a few hours. I was not happy with the effect at all! I liked the glass sheen but I didn't like the lumpy finish. I wonder if I used too much? In the end this is what I have to offer. Thank you for stopping by:)

c/s Papertrey Ink white and Bazzill cardstock
stamps: Papertrey Ink Little Lady Stamp Set
sentiment: Stampin Up
eyelets: Making Memories
ribbon: Michael's and May Art
Wet Look: Little Black Dress Design
inks: SU's (real red) and Palette (black)
I also used SU's Paper Piercing Tool.

For Ila's brother Dana

This card is for Ila's brother Dana Morley. Dana has cancer and this is the least that I can do for Ila and her brother. Everything is Stamping Up except for the mini brads and the twine. The Mini brads are Making Memories and the twine is from my ribbon stash. This card was difficult for me because everything I own is geared for women, babies, holidays and children. But this card comes from my heart and I hope it is masculine enough. If any of you would like to send Ila's brother a card look here and she will e-mail you the address. Her family will appreciate the thought.

2- 5 -7 -10 Halloween Boxes

I made a few of these over the weekend for a friend of mine. She saw my Christmas Bag and wanted a few for Halloween. I made three samples for her so that she can choose what she wants or doesn't want. I even put candy in them! I had went to my LSS and brought some of the prettiest papers, however the designs on the cute papers broke on the perforation lines. I tried at SU's and they held up perfectly! The creases were perfect! I plan on making some of these bags for the teachers also.

papers: SU
ribbons: from my stash
Stickles and double sided tape used also. **I also want to add that the tutorial for the 2-5-7-10 Box with Flap is here
