Good Morning!

I stayed up too late last night and I'm a little late with my post this morning! I'm so mad at my self right now! Every other Saturday, The Pixie Cottage will feature a sneak peek based on a particular theme. The theme for today is "Fall" and I made my card with the new South End Girl Stamp designed by Andrea T. Seiler. I love this image!

LOTV Thursday Challenge...Childs Christmas Card!

Hello Everyone,

Sorry that I have been MIA the past few days. My husband and my neighbor are in the process of remodeling the remodeling our basement and once again everything is turned up side down. The basement is where my craft room is and a lot of my supplies are covered up. However, I did remove the main supplies and have set up a temporary station at the dining room table. Although it is not the same, it will do until they are finished. I can't wait to return to my new area which will include some built in storage. I have seriously outgrown those plastic type drawers from Target!

On to the good stuff! Today's LOTV Thursday Challenge is to make a Christmas card for a child. I made my card with the color theme red and white with lots of sparkle. The image is from LOTV ( Christmas Bunnies- Robin ) and I also downloaded the design paper which reads "Merry Christmas* Happy Christmas" from LOTV. My image is colored in with Copic Markers and embellished with Ice Stickles. I also added tiny drops of Liquid Pearls to the gift and stocking and add Liquid Glass to the candy cane. The other embellishments are ribbon and red half pearls.

As with all LOTV Challenges, you have two weeks to complete your card. You don't have to use LOTV Stamps but if you have them, please use them. When you are finished with your card, link your creation to LOTV Thursday blog. We are also looking for a GDT member... so...get creative as I can't wait to view your creations!

Have a great day and thank you all so much for stopping by!

hugs

World Card Making Day and new Pixie Cottage image!

Hello Everyone and Happy World Card Making Day!
World Card Making day celebrates creativity and connects fellow card makers. This event recognizes the power of handcrafted goodness, and the empowering nature of creativity.

The Design Team at Pixie Cottage is celebrating this event by offering sneak peeks of the magical world of Pixie Cottage. Join in the fun! And see if you too can find your creative magic...

The Pixie Cottage DT decided to put on a little show of the new and soon to be released stamps for World Card Making Day. This was a surprise idea yet all of us came through with shining colors! Be sure to stop by the Pixie Cottage's Blog to see the rest of the DT samples!

My image is colored in with Copic Markers and I air brushed the background skies. I embellished the stars with extra fine glitter and added Fruit Punch Stickles to the bow. The DP is by DCWV and the card stocks are SU and PTI. I can't remember where I brought the sentiment at all! geez! Other embellishments are ribbon.

Have a great day and beautiful weekend and thank you so much for stopping by!

Mimosa Angel File Folder

Good Morning and Happy Smiley from millan.net

I found this awesome tutorial on Teri's blog (Big ideas from a little girl) and I knew right away that I had to try it! Thanks for the inspiration Teri!

What is so cool about this file folder is that you can leave it plain and embellish with a belly band or you can decorate it to the hilt! I embellished my folder by adhering design paper from DCWV (Die Cuts With A View), flowers and my Bildmalarna (Mimosa Angel) image, felt flowers and half pearls. The sentiment that I am going to apply later will read "Just for you!"

My image is colored in with Copic markers and matted with nesties circle and scalloped circle dies. I applied extra fine glitter to her wings and applied Liquid Glass to the heart on her dress.
Instead of using Velcro as a clasp, I used mini magnets. The magnets are held in place with mini glue dots. I covered the nakedness of the magnets by punching one inch circles with scrap paper and adhered the circles over the magnets.

This file folder is perfect for sending off small treats to special friends!

Well, I'm going to take advantage of my quiet morning and work on a project for World Card Making Day. Tomorrow should be a fun filled day and did I mention awesome sales?! Millan.net
Have a great day and thank you all so much for stopping by!
