High Hopes Challenge #15

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I can't believe that so many days have flown by since my last post. I tell ya', while making a card Monday afternoon; my "mojo" completely deserted me!!!! Talk about frustration! Normally I can put a card together in about 30 Min's. However, if I'm on the same card after an hour or so; I realize that my creative thoughts have deserted me. In order to save myself from wrecking more paper etc. I had to abandon my craft room for a few days. Finally inspiration returned to me and I managed to pull a card together for High Hopes Heart Challenge.

The stamp is from High Hopes and the sentiment is from Amuse. The card stocks are from the Cut Cardstock Co. and PTI. The design paper is from Three Bugs In a Rug and I colored my image with Copic Markers.
To embellish my card, I sewed the top mat and used my Cricut Expression (Plantin Schoolbook cartridge) to cut the hearts, flowers and grass. The flowers are embellished with small pearls and I used my hand held heart punch for the tiny hearts around the sentiment.

Have a fantastic weekend and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday everyone and I hope everyone had a refreshing weekend!

Heather (Vanilla Hev'n) tagged me and this is an unusual tag game indeed. According to the rules, I have to open my 6th picture file and present the 6th photo! When I opened my 6th picture of my photo file , I almost slid off of my couch. Why on earth did I not delete or back up this picture?! Oh well....here it is.....and I am a bit embarrassed about the whole situation but I'm a team player.

I also have to tell 5 things about myself and tag 5 people.

1. I like to eat junk food but I realize that I can't eat like a 20 year old and not gain a pound anymore. I'm really trying to eat healthier and exercise on a daily basis.

2. When I was in my 20's, my girlfriend and I visited a fortune teller. I don't believe in this type of thing but I have to admit a lot of the things she said to me have come true.

3. Currently "Top Chef" is one of my favorite television shows.

4. My husband can cook better than me! (Although I have improved a lot over the years by watching him season and prepare food)

5. I tend to watch my favorite movies over and over again.

Now comes the fun part, I would like to tag...

1. Donalda

2. Lauren

3. Cheryl

4. Elena

5. Barb W.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

High Hopes Challenge #14

Hello and Happy Friday!

This weeks High Hope Challenge is to make a card for a boy or "dude"! This means no cute flowers etc. Smiley from millan.net To play it safe, I made my card for a young boy, I think it is a bit easier to win kids over with googly eyes. *lol* After I was finished with my card, I asked my 11 yr. old son for his opinion. All he said was "it's alright"! Well...this is his favorite word right now and since his facial expression didn't turn to one of horror Smiley from millan.net ...I guess I'm safe. *lol*

Card Details Smiley from millan.net
stamp and sentiment- High Hope Rubber Stamps (Greetings from the gang), c/s PTI, SU and Cut Card Stock Co., DP SU's now retired Summer Picnic, inks Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers. To embellish my card I used googly eyes (Impress rubber stamps), jumbo red brads, SU's round tab punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder, extra fine glitter, paper piercing and ribbon.

Have a super fun Friday and thank you for stopping by! Smiley from millan.net

I'm so sorry...............

I'm so sorry that I don't have anything to share today. After running here and there, getting stuck in the snow and getting groceries plus putting them away ....I'm just "too pooped to pop"! (my mom used to say that all the time)Smiley from millan.net

After a good nights rest, I should feel 100% again. In the meantime....I'm off to dreamland.

Thank you for stopping by and try to have a great day.

A Valentine Cutie

Good Morning Everyone,
Boy oh boy is it ever cold here and now another snow storm is on the way! When will it ever end?! *sigh* One good thing that I can say about the cold is I've been creating up a storm. It is just too cold to do anything else.

Today's card is a Valentines shaker card. After I sealed the backing I sorta wished that I had used more micro beads.

I also added some tiny hearts using my hand held heart punch. I wanted my focus to be on my shaker image and kept my card simple. Right now I'm sentiment challenged (again) and I could not find a sentiment stamp that I was pleased with at the time. I simply stamped three hearts in place of a sentiment for the now.

Card Details........
stamp Elzybell (A Winter Song) ,c/s SU and PTI, Inks Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers, Nesties dies, acetate, SU's micro beads, swiss dots embossing folder, pearls, extra fine glitter, mounting foam and ribbon

Thanks for stopping by and try to stay warm!

Mojo Monday #69

Hello everyone,
Today's post is super late for Mojo Monday's #69 Challenge and I am so annoyed with myself right now! Smiley from millan.net Anyhow....here is my late submission.

I chose this particular stamp by Stampendous because I wanted a fun and colorful card to help chase away the winter blahs. After a while the snow isn't so great anymore and spring can happen right now for me! *lol*Smiley from millan.net After I finished making this card I had one of those "duh" moments and none of my sentiments seemed to work at the time. Oh well... I will think of something quickly when I decide to give this card away. Smiley from millan.net

Card details................
stamp-Stampendous (Delia Chick), c/s PTI, DP-Pebbles Inc. 4X6 paper pad, inks-Copic Markers and Adirondack Pitch Black, Nesties sm. circle dies, extra fine glitter, flowers and dew drops.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Lili of the Valley Challenge #14

Good Morning everyone!
The week has passed by so quickly and once again I have neglected my blog. I honestly don't mean to neglect my blogging duties...honest! It seems that I get so busy around the house and although I still find time to create cards, I fall short when it comes to getting them posted on my blog. I'm seriously going to have to do something about this!

This card is for Lili of the Valley's Challenge #14. The sketch was designed by Donalda (Enjoying the Journey), thank you so much for the inspiration Donalda!
Speaking of inspiration, while browsing the blogs for inspiration, I was inspired by Iris's beautiful cards to make a shaker type card. I have always wanted to make one of these cards as well and decided to take the plunge and make one. I found the instructions here and I was amazed at how easy shaker cards are to make! If you are in need of inspiration or in need a template for a project, be sure to check out the resource area at Splitcoaststampers!

Card details.................

stamp- Lili of the Valley, sentiment - SU, c/s SU and PTI, DP PTI's Polka Dot Basics, and acetate for window, inks- Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers. To embellish my card I sewed around the edges of the card mat, used ribbon and flowers. For the shaker contents I used the mini beads that I won from Rina and beads from SU. I also used mounting tape, extra fine glitter, pearls and Nesties lg. circle dies.

Before I sign off I would like to congratulate the new Little C's Divas! Way to go girls and I hope you have a blast...I know I did!

As always, have a great day and thank you for stopping by.

Hugs

Welcome Baby!

Good Morning Everyone!

These two cards are the last of my baby card series. I have to admit that I do love babies and it is a joy to make baby cards. After posting twice yesterday, today's post is going to be short and sweet.

This stamp set from SU is another favorite of mine. The name of the set is Bundled In Love and all of the stamps are adorable. The sentiment is part of this stamp set also. The only thing I did different was to dab my ink only across the sentiment. The little stars that are part of the sentiment took up too much space for my card.

The card stocks used are SU's So Saffron (textured) and PTI Stampers Select White. The DP is from PTI (Bitty Babay Blessigns) The Bitty Baby Blessing paper pack is 6X6 and features as assortment of coordinating design paper. The inks used were Adirondack Pitch Black ink and Copic Markers. To embellish my card, I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, treading water punch, SU's corner punch and Nesties oval dies. The ribbons are SU's So Saffron and Really Reasonable Ribbon White Organza. To give the bunny a" little something" I glued a white pom pom on his tail (Pebbles Inc. pom poms) and later added Kaier pearls to my card.
