LCWC #19

Today is Tuesday and time for another Little C's Weekly Challenge. This weeks challenge was chosen by our very own DT member Teri! Teri decided to use this cute sketch from CPS (Card Positioning Systems) This is a awesome sketch and very versatile...thank you for the inspiration Teri!

I decided on a clean and simple Christmas card for this challenge. I used textured card stock for my mat and paper pierced around the edges. Instead of stamping and coloring in images, I decided to use rub-ons instead. The rub-ons are from SU's Word Flurries packet. The ribbon I used is white and has specks of silver glitter in it and IRL it is very pretty. I added silver cord, a snow flake thicker and a silver filigree brad (SU) for embellishment.

For more inspiration, check out the other Little C's DT members!

This is a awesome sketch and we would love to see your ideas as well! For more information about Little C's Weekly Challenges, click here.

Elzybell!

Good Monday Morning!
I can't believe how good I feel today! Usually I have the Monday blahs, but today I feel great! Over the weekend I managed to get a lot done and on top of that, I went to see the movie Twilight twice!!! I guess I really liked it to pay to see it twice. Well...enough babbling and onto my card:)

While going through my stash of growing stamps, I came across this petite Elzybells Art stamp that I purchased from A Muse last winter. This stamp was pretty hot last year and in my mind it still is an awesome stamp. The sketch idea for this card is based on Mojo Monday #60 which is designed by Julee Tilman. I really like this verstile sketch idea alot and thanks for the inspiration Julee!

The Elzybells Art Stamp is from A Muse and the name of the stamp is Winter Girl. The card stocks used are Stampers Select White(PTI) and pink pirouette and kiwi kiss (SU). The design paper is from Imaginisce (Snowy Jo Cup of Cheer) and full of Christmas sentiments which is why I omitted a sentiment. The inks used were Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers. To further embellish my card, I used my sewing machine and sewed around the edges of the DP. I also used my lace border punch (Martha Stewart) , corner rounder punch (SU) and small oval templates (Nestabilities). To enhance the look of snow, I used Crystal Snow glitter from Stampendous and added ribbon, silver cord, pearls and a tiny bell.

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow to see what's up with Little C's Weekly Challanges! Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Mr. Twigster !

Good Morning and thank goodness today is Friday. I have so many things to do before the kids get out of school today. But before I get started running any errands, I want to share a card I made from the stamp set (Mr. Twigster) which was a gift from my friend Teri.

I think this stamp set from SU is adorable..... try to imagine a snowman with legs and wearing boots even! lol At any rate....I think Mr. Twigster is adorable....legs and boots included.

Originally I had made this card for Mojo sketch #60, but I didn't finish it in time. I really like this sketch designed by Julee and I'm sure I will use it often. The majority of the supplies for this card are from SU, with the exception of Copic Markers, pearls and the crystal snow.

Here are the details..............................
stamp SU's Mr. Twigster, DSP SU's Ski Slope, c/s PTI, Whisper White and Baja Breeze, ribbon Baja Breeze and Really Reasonable Ribbon, inks Copic Markers, Nestabilities sm. oval dies, Crystal Snow (Stampendous) and white pearls

For the movie lovers out there........
If any of you are fans of the book Twilight, you are more than aware that the movie debuted last night. I'm a sucker for love stories and from the moment I started to read the book... I was hooked! So, I have made plans to see this movie this evening and I really hope that the movie is as good as the book!

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Lili of the Valley #8

Good Morning Everyone!

I'm going to try to keep a steady flow of cards posted until next Wednesday. The closer it gets to the holiday, the more hectic life becomes around here! Looking on the bright side of things, no matter how hectic things get around here, I'm going to squeeze in some "play time" and create a card or two.

I made this card for Lili of the Valley's Challenge #8. The challenge for this week was to make a card base off the sketch provided by Donalda. After gathering some inspiration from the samples provided by Lili of the Valley's DT, ideas started spinning around in my head and this is what I came up with.

The stamps are from Lili of the Valley, A Muse (the shadow shaped oval) and the sentiment is from Close To My Heart. The card stocks are SU's Pink Pirouette,Papertrey Inks Stampers Select White and the Cut Cardstock Company. I decided to use this awesome paper from Glitz Designs...I really love this paper:) I used my small circle Nestabilities die for a uniform circle shape and trimmed the outer edges so that the circles would not over lap the card. After that I used my Cuttlebug and embossed the circles for texture and for more dimension, I spritzed black ink on the circles. with my Spritzer tool from SU. I stamped my image and used my thing-a-ma-jig to line up the shadow oval stamp from A Muse. I have had this stamp over a year and somehow I managed to overlook this precious stamp.... shame on me! After I was satisfied with the ovals position, I colored my image with my Copic Markers and embellished the image with extra fine glitter. I also embellished my card with felt flowers from Maya Road and embellished the flower center with small black brads.

Have a wonderful day and thank you all for stopping by:)

LCWC #18

Good Morning Everyone!!!!
Today is Tuesday and time for another Little C's Weekly Challenge! Yeah!!!! This weeks challenge was to make a Christmas card that features a picture of our family member(s) or pet. I have a ton of pictures around here but none are small enough for a card so I decided to use

this older picture of my husband and my son.

I seriously need to make an appointment with the photographer and update our family album! The last time we took a family photo, Ethan's front teeth were missing.........geez!!!

I kept my Christmas card simple this week. I used my Cuttlebug and embossed the base card stock with my snowflake folder. The stamp I used is from SU's Season of Joy. After I stamped my image, I used SU's clear embossing powder and added small red pearls to embellish. The sparkly ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

This really is a fun challenge and for more inspiration, check out the other DT members!

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Tilda with Striped Stockings

I really am enjoying these precious Tilda's from the Magnolia Pink Collection. The moment I spied this Tilda, I knew that I had to have her! It's not too often that I run across Afro-American stamps that I really like. So... when I "run across" some Afro American stamps that catch my eye...I hurry up and buy! (Can I rap or what?!) lol

While browsing the net, I found this unique sketch idea and fell in love with it immediately. I wish that I had wrote down where I got the idea though, I would have loved to thank the person and give them the credit due. If you are looking, thank you for the inspiration and idea for this card!

I colored Tilda in using my Copic Markers and mounted her onto an oval shaped Nestabilities die. The design paper is from Papertrey Ink (Polka Dot Parade) and the card stocks are Papertrey Ink's Stampers Select, SU's Whisper White and SU's Riding Hood Red. To embellish my card, I used SU's corner punch, paper pierce tool, ribbon from Flourishes, Prima X-mas flowers, gold dew drops and gold thread.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!

* tomorrow I want to share some RAKs and gifts with you all...stay tuned:)

Good Morning Everyone!

This weeks challenge is a color challenge!

I decided to use this fun Whipper Snapper* stamp for the color challenge. The design paper is by Pebblesinc. The card stocks are from Papertrey Ink and the Cut Cardstock Company. I used my paper pierce template and pierced holes around my card. I wasn't crazy about the original sentiment(Snow Cone) and covered it up with a sentiment stamp from A Muse. To embellish my card, I used ribbon SU's Real Red, Nestabilities rectangle dies, Copic Markers, dew drops liquid glass and extra fine glitter.

We would love to have you play along with us this week! Click here for more information and a chance at a terrific prize!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day:)
