Bella Monday

Good Monday Morning and I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend!

Personally I had a great and productive weekend! Card fever hit home and I was "busy as a bee" creating cards. I tell ya' its a wonderful feeling when you get this sudden burst of creative energy....you really don't want to stop for anything!!! lol

Today's card features Lattebella enjoying a cup of latte and I'm rather fond of this Bella Stamp. In my mind... if you love your cup of latte, coffee, tea or hot chocolate you can really relate to this stamp! As I'm sitting here, the aroma of my coffee makes me wanna smile....hmmmmmmmm good! I know I'm a silly ole fart! lol

Back to the card....the Designer Series Paper I chose for this card is Pacific Point. I LOVE this color!!! The shade of blue is awesome and the coordinating papers are a dream to work with. I know most of you have heard other stampers confessing their love for SU's New In-Colors, but honestly the vibrancy of these colors are awesome!! The card stocks used are SU's Pacific Point and Papertrey Inks Stampers Select. The stamp is Lattebella by Stamping Bella and the sentiment is from MFT.
As usual...I colored in my image using Copic Markers and matted my image with Nestabilities oval dies. To embellish my card I did a bit of sewing, added photo corners using SU's corner punch, added flowers and a bit of extra fine glitter.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and I hope you have a terrific day!

Ghouls Just Want To Have Fun!

Good Thursday Morning and I hope your morning is just as lovely as it is here in Michigan!
Today I want to share with you an altered project that I made for Stamp Somethings Embellish Somethings Challenge.
While blurfing the web for inspiration, I discovered this Halloween project on Lynda Benson's Blog Stamp Act. The moment I viewed Lynda's project, I knew that I had to try it!!! I ordered my acetate box and tubes from Impress Rubber Stamps. When my order arrived at my doorsteps, I immediately went to work on my project. Although I did have a few problems with measurements for my decorative cover pieces, I finially came to a conclusion on dimensions that were suitable for me.
The bottom cover is 6" X 3" and I scored it at 1" and 2" on my Scor-Pal and punched it using my Martha Stewart Halloween border punch. I used glue dots to adhere the fence to the acetate box. The measurements for the top cover are slightly different. The measurements are 6" X 5" and using my Scor-Pal, I scored the cover at the 2" and 3" marks. I then punched each side with my scallop border punch from SU. The ribbon that I tied around the cover keeps it secure.
The face of the acetate box is decorated with SU's Chills and Thrills Rub- Ons and decorated with small rhinestones.
The tubes are from Impress Rubber Stamps and were filled with candy corn and placed inside the box.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Birthday RAKs and I've been tagged:)

Today I would like to share some of my birthday RAKs with you. I have made quite a number of friends since I have started blogging and I truly feel blessed to have met some of the bestest people in the world!!! Thank you all so very much for making my day even brighter:)

I also have been tagged by my friend Kathy of (Kathat Stamps.) I enjoy reading tags ... some are very interesting and some people are very funny even!!!
I'm not a witty person but I'll try my best not to bore you too much:)

Before I get started, here are the rules

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.

2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.

3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

1. I love purses...it's insane! At the moment I'm in love with the brand Kathy Van ZeeLand!

2. I inherited the love of books from my mom. One day as a kid, my mom caught me reading one of her novels by Harold Robbins (The Betsy!) I can still see the look of horror on her face as she snatched the book from my hands:) From that point on, she kept me supplied with books suited for a pre-teen!

3. I keep my favorite books and will re-read them from time to time!

4. I love action hero type movies as much as my kids! Spider Man, Iron Man and X-Men are among my favorites!

5. While growing up, my parents were very strict with all of us. I hated it at the time because I never had fun!!! Years later when I reflect, I know they were right and I'm glad they were strict!

6. I have a terrible sense of direction!

7. My husband still makes me laugh!

Now I would like to tag......

Jana, Rita, Deb, Elena, Stephenie, Barb , and Smriti

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by:)

LCWC #10

Well as you know today is Tuesday and its time for another Little C's Weekly Challenge #10!
I know that I'm a little late posting today.... but better late than never right?! *forgive me Jen:)
This weeks challenge was a tough one for me (4X9 1/4" card) and no matter what I did with my card I wasn't satisfied with it and minutes turned into hours! Finally I said to myself "this is it Risa...no more changes...get on the move girlie!"
As I stated earlier, this weeks LCWC is to make a 4X9 1/2 card. I haven't been on my computer all day and I can't wait to see the other Little C's design team creations! For more information, click here to see what Jen has posted:)

For this card I made three panels and the design paper is by Reminisce. I have seen this idea around in blog land and I decided to give it a try. After coloring my Autumn Tilda with my Copic Markers, I used my Copic Airbrush system to air brush the background area. Then I used my Spritzer and added splashes of fall colors to the background. I also used Prima flowers, brads, and ribbon to embellish my card.

Details.......

I know that I have been a bad blogger lately! I've been super busy around the house and I working on a couple of projects that I'm trying to finish. Sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day!!
Thank you all for stopping by and for all of your inspiring comments!! God Bless and have a great day:)

Stamp Somethings ...Cherry Inspired Somethings Challenge

Hello everyone and I would like to introduce you to Belinda Bumberboots! Belinda is part of the Chichboule Collection which can be found at Stamping Bella. Since my hubby is on his way to a speedy recovery, I have the extra time to participate in card challenges again. This card is for Stamp Somethings " Cherry Inspired Somethings Challenge". From the moment I viewed the challenge, this stamp popped into my mind! I know that there aren't any cherries associated with this stamp but in my mind this stamp was perfect for this card. To bring the cherry theme into play, I made sure that a cherry from my design paper was in clear view. Melissa is the host for this weeks challenge at Stamp Something, and I just want to say "thank you for the inspiration Melissa"!

Details...... stamp and sentiment Stamping Bella, DP Creative Imaginations, c/s PTI and Cut Cardstock Company, Inks Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers, Nestabilities rectangle dies, Martha Stewart lace punch, black embellishments from Stamping Bella, ribbon and extra fine glitter

Another Halloween Card!

Yep...I'm still cranking out Halloween Cards. I have to admit that it is a fun time of year especially for the kids! Well some of the excitement has rubbed off on me and whenever I get the chance, I make a Halloween card. This card features the same Bella Stamp that I used a week ago, but with a different flair to it.

I used my Cuttlebug spider web folder to emboss my base layer instead of using DP. My image was colored using Copic Markers and matted with oval templates (Spellbinders) The card stocks used were Stampers Select from Papertrey Ink and the black card stock is from the Cut Cardstock Company. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the flowers are Prima's. I also embellished my card with sm. orange pearls.

Well I have to run to the druug store and pick up a few things for my hubby and pick the kids up from school. (Where did the day go?)

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

LCWC #8

Happy Tuesday and its time for another Little C's Weekly Challenge!
This weeks sketch was designed by Jen...owner of Little C's Stamp and Things...and what a great sketch it is!
I made this card using a Halloween stamp that I brought around the time I began stamping. For some reason I just love this stamp! Oh well...what can I say? LOL
The stamp is by Stampendous and the sentiment is clipped from a scrap piece of DSP.
The inks used were Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers. To mat my image, I used my Spellbinders rectangle templates. The DSP is from SU and the c/s are from Papertrey Ink and the Cut Cardstock Company. To embellish my card, I used brads and ribbon.
For more inspiration, check out the other Little C's DT member blogs. The names of the members are listed on the left side margin of my blog...just click on their names. Another added bonus, Jen gives away a nice prize to the winner of the Little C's Weekly Challenge. So what are you waiting for...the winner could be you! Click on Jen's name for more information:)
