Lili of the Valley Challenge #20

Hello everyone!
I'm sorry that I have been MIA the past few days. We received some bad news the other day which turned my whole day sour. My husband is retired from Delphi (Delphi is a "spin off" from GM) and it seems that most salaried retirees will lose their health benefits in April. This whole sorry mess turns my stomach inside out and I didn't even think about stamping for a day or so!!!! I'm crossing my fingers and praying that Blue Cross/Blue Shield will let me add my husband on to my insurance plan. *sigh*

Well ....to keep my mind off my troubles today, I made a card for Lili of the Valley's Thursday Challenge. The sketch was designed by the talented Donalda (Enjoying the Journey). This is my take on the challenge and thanks for the inspiration Donalda!

My image is my new Anya from The Greetings Farm. I was surprised to find that these stamps are much larger than what I expected and they stamp very nicely! The sentiment is a $1.00 stamp that I purchased from Michael's during my early days of stamping. The card stocks are from SU and Papertrey Ink. The designer papers are from SU and Pebbles. Inc and I colored my image with Copic Markers. To embellish my card, I used Nestabilites rectangle dies, Maya Road felt flowers, buttons and Scrapper floss. I also used ribbon and tiny chocolate pearls.

Hope you have an enjoyable Sunday afternoon and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs

High Hopes Challenge #19

Good Afternoon Everyone!

This card is for a relative and for High Hopes Challenge #19 , This weeks challenge is all about sponging. Sponging is not a strong suit for me at all and I handled this challenge very carefully. Because as you know, once the ink is sponged on...it's on! *lol* In the back of my head, I had a recurring nightmare of me accidentally dropping my inked sponge onto my finished image. I tell you...I handled this challenge a bit nervously and this is my take on the challenge.

Card Details.......................

stamp High Hopes Rubber Stamps, sentiment SU, c/s SU and PTI, DP all SU, inks Copic Markers, As for sponging...I sponged Old Rose ink on the edges of my design paper and on the edges of matted image. Nesties square and sm circle dies, paper piercing, extra fine glitter, flowers, liquid glass and pearls

Have a great day everyone and thank you so much for stopping by!

Elzybells Spring Chick!

Hello Everyone and Good Morning!

I hope you all had a great and productive weekend. Would you believe that it snowed almost all day Saturday?! I tell ya' I am soooooo sick of snow and I believe that most of us "Northerners" feel the same way. So.....while the snow whistled away, I made a bunch of cards while listening to the History of Britain (narrated by Simon Schama). If any of you are unfamiliar with Simon Schama, he is a Historian and excellent narrator!

One of the cards I made over the weekend was this card for Elzybells monthly challenge. The challenge was to make a card featuring two ribbons, three brads and a rectangle. This is my take on the challenge.

Now that I'm almost caught up on cards for the week, I have to catch up on my blogging duties. Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Lili of the Valley Challenge #18

Good morning everyone!

Today I want to share with you my second card as guest DT member for Lili of the Valley. The challenge this week was to use two different design papers, three brads and one flower. I really enjoyed this challenge and I would like to thank the members of Lili of the Valley Thursday Challenges for the opportunity!

I'm going to keep my post brief today. I have a nagging headache Smiley from millan.net(I sure hope that I'm not coming down with something! ) and I have to catch up on my blogging duties. In the meantime, try to have a great day and if the weather is great in your area....appreciate it. Right now we are experiencing raging snow storm. Smiley from millan.net If I recall correctly, the weatherman said "light snow showers" this morning and from where I'm sitting it is completely the opposite! Smiley from millan.net

Oh well... on a brighter note have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Roses on Paper Challenge #6

Hello Everyone!

I found another fun challenge to participate in and today's card is for Roses on Paper. This weeks theme is "Love and Friendship" and I couldn't resist inking up this little Whiff of Joy critter for the challenge. This is my take on the challenge and thanks for the inspiration Lim!

While planning this card, I wanted a card for a young lady who isn't the girly girl type. Some girls don't care for pastel or pink colors yet they still want something special just for them. Although it was difficult, I refrained from using any flowers and settled on using the admission ticket as my embellishment. I finished my card by adding a few chocolate pearls.

Card Details............... Stamp Whiff of Joy, c/s Papertrey Ink (Stampers Select and Kraft), DP scrap bin, inks Copic Markers, Nesties, ribbon SU and Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kaiser Pearls, admission ticket from a scrapbook kit

I also want to share a few RAKs that I received from three lovely friends! Thanks for making my day...you girls are the best!

Created by Rita S.
I love the simplicity and the sparkle is awesome IRL!

Created by Barb W.
Barb's card is stunning! I love the DP and the heart is awesome!!

Created by Gina Wrona

Gina doesn't have a blog and I'm sure most of you know her. Gina's creations are super cute! The first card is actually a treat holder! The top slides off and the bottom portion has just enough room for a small treat. The small note card is super cute also.

Once again, thank all of you so much!

CBCC #26 Bubble Wrap Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!

As I mentioned yesterday, I am a new member of the Created by Courtney Chick Team. Every Tuesday my fellow DT members and myself will post a card or project that corresponds with the weekly challenge. This weeks challenge is to stamp with bubble wrap! This was definitely a new method of stamping for me but it really is very easy to do.

After I wrapped and secured my bubble wrap around a large stamp, I used Versa Mark and SU's Bashful Blue and embossed my stamped design. To give my design a little "umph" I used my Spritzer Tool and spritzed on splashes of hot pink.

* My bubble wrap wasn't in the best condition and the images aren't as crisp. However, I think this is a "neat" idea and I love the results.

After that, I proceeded to finish my card by adding my image and embellishing my card.

Be sure to stop by the other DT members and view their Bubble Wrap Creations:)

Card Details......................
stamp C.C. Designs (kisses and Hugs), sentiment Elyzbells , c/s SU and PTI, inks Copic Markers, SU's Bashful Blue, Versa Mark and embossing powder, Nestabilities , SU's Spritzer Tool, felt flowers, dew drops and ribbon

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

High Hopes Challenge #18

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend and if you did anything for Valentine's Day, I hope you had a blast. This year my hubby and I didn't do anything special for Valentine's Day. We spent a relatively quiet weekend at home and ordered pizza for the kids, which was cool with me. At least I got a chance to get some much needed stamping done and without too many interruptions.

Today's card is for another High Hopes Challenge and this weeks challenge is to make a Spring or Easter type card. The colors in my card aren't traditional Spring or Easter colors but oddly enough, I like them.

I also have some great news to share with you all, starting tomorrow I will post my first creation for also known as CBCC Challenges! Each week Courtney comes up with a challenge and we have to make a card or project pertaining to the theme. I can't wait to share my first creation with you tomorrow!

Card Details..................... stamp High Hopes, c/s/ PTI, DP all scraps from my scrap bin, inks Copic Markers and , Nestability die, pearls, paper piercing, brads and ribbon

Have a great day everyone and thank you for stopping by!
