This is from Jen...This is a cute popcorn holder...so pretty!

This RAK from Jana and I love the Magnolia image Jana!
The card below is from Miss Trish....thank you ladies for the lovely RAKs!

Well we made it home from our trip and it took me two days to recover! I guess the long ride and lack of rest (due to all the excitement around us) caught up with me. lol I did hit a jackpot on the penny slot machines and that made me happy. Now I can buy some new rubba! On the day we left for our vacation, I got some "happy-mail" but I wasn't able to post any cards at the time.

I've been tagged!

I have been tagged by Carla, she is a sweetheart and she makes some of the cutest cards. Check out her blog here!

It's funny in a sense, I enjoy reading other peoples blogs but my mind goes blank when I have to tell something about myself. lol How much do you tell about yourself without sounding like a total idiot? (in my case anyhow*smile*) Well here are 7 more things about me.....thank you Carla:)

1. I love make-up and I have spent a small fortune on it! At the time Bare Minerals is my favorite and Mary Kay a close second.

2. I can't stand the sound of smacking! It drives me nuts and my mother-in-law is the queen of smackers!

3. I have to have a cup of coffee in order to start my day!

4. When I worked for Delphi, I ran a Lathe Machine. Once I got the concept of "righty tighty...lefty loosey" I could change my tools better than the guys in my department.

5. I discovered the world of crafting after my car accident. I think that after my head banged against the windshield something happened to my brain!lol While recuperating I saw a segment on television and said to myself "I can do that!" and although my crafts were a bit rocky at the start I kept on and I have discovered a brand new world of amazing card makers and friends!

6. I have gained 20 pounds since my accident, which was Jan. 13Th 2005.

7. I love reality shows and can't wait for Project Runway to begin!

Now, if you have read this consider yourself tagged....big smile!

**I truly love my mother-in-law...really..but the smacking has got to go.

Vacation time...........yeah!!!!

My husband and I are finally getting some "us time" together! We are leaving for the Upper Peninsula tonight and we will be back late Saturday night. We will spend three days and two nights at the casino in Sault Ste. Marie.(Sue-Saint-Marie) Neither of us are big gamblers but the hotel is nice and the buffets are awesome.
The babysitter will stay at our house with the kids while we are away and I have been frantic getting everything in order. I planned a menu for the kids, their clothes are laid out on the table in order. instructions written out, phone numbers etc. All of this and I still have to pack out clothes yet! Everything will be finished this morning and if I have time this afternoon I will post a few RAK's. I tell you...sometimes there just not enough hours in the day. Well I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and I will be back posting Sunday.:)

CPS Challenge#36

Look Ma....no stamps....lol! I made this card based on a sketch from Card Positioning Systems Challenge #36 (CPS)
I decided to do something different today and pattern my card off of some of my scrapbook layouts. I used Bazzill White cardstock for my base. The DSP is by Deja Views. I used SU's scallop and 1 3/8 circle punch for the flowers. The buttons and ribbons came from my stash. I used pop dots to give my flower cut-outs dimension. The other tools I used were my paper piercer, Signo White Gel Pen (faux stitching), Aleene's Tacky Glue and Stickles Fruit Punch Glitter Glue.

I made a card, put together some candy treat bags and purchased some Halloween goodies for my partner. I purchased my bags and box from Papertrey Ink. I also used Papertry Ink White card stock and Bazzill Black. The deep orange color paper was from my stash. I used my circle and scallop punches to makes tags for the gift bags and box. The stamp and sentiment are from Impress Rubber Stamps. I used Brilliance Orange and Black Inks. The ribbons are from Micheal's and the brads for Making Memories. According to the swap rules we were supposed to make some items and buy the rest from the store. I brought a candle, candy tray, stamps, stickers, candy and a cute Halloween Pail to contain the stamps. I really enjoyed participating in the swap, it was so much fun! Tinkerbella!

My order for my Bellas finally arrived. Is it possible to love stamps the way I do? Only stampers and crafters know of this weird passion for paper, stamps and ink! :)
Anyhow, I have to get busy and get these three cards into the mail. I hate to run but I have to get to the post office. Thank everyone for stopping by. I forgot to mention that this Bellas name is Tinkerbella.

I won this stamp set from Toni A.of" Moved to the Mountains" a few weeks ago. She was giving away a new MFT Stamp Set. The stamps finally arrived Friday, and I finally got around to stamping last night. This set is awesome and perfect for me since I do love chocolate! Assembly line cards...

Today I had the bright idea to make four cards assembly line style. I have quite a few Halloween Themed Papers that I need to get rid of. I didn't realize that I had so much of the stuff until I organized my paper stash. I think I totally "lose it" at times and buy stuff without thinking about what I really need.

All of the base papers are Papertrey Ink (white) than a layer of Bazzill (black) and than SU's Halloween designer paper. The stamps I used were The Cats Pajamas, Whipper Snapper and Impress Rubber Stamps. The sentiments are by The Cats Pajamas and Impress Rubber Stamps. The ribbon is an assortment from American Crafts and Michael's. The brads are from Making Memories and Queen&Co. The inks used are Stazzon (black) and markers. I also used Stickles and my paper piercer to embellish.

A Halloween Quickie

This card did not take too long to make at all. I don't love this card but it's decent and it frustrates me when I can't bring my vision to "life". Whenever I am not satisfied with a project,I have to walk away from what ever I am working on and tackle it later; because if I keep "nipping and tucking" I will destroy the card and I don't want to do that.

cardstock: Bazzill and scrap pieces from my stash
stamp: Whipper Snapper
sentiment: The Cats Pajamas
brads: Queen & Co.
ribbon: my stash
Halloween Buttons are by Making Memories
inks: Copic Gray to outline ghost and my orange marker

Everything except the base, is from my scrap pile. *The base card is Bazzill Pink Cardstock and the stamp and sentiment are by Whipper Snapper. The ink is Palette's Black and I used my Prismacolor Pencils with OMS and my one Copic marker to outline the image. I also applied Crystal Stickles around the candles. Thank you for stopping by:)

I've been tagged!

I have been tagged by Scrapnmo of Dailyscrappinspiration and Marlou of Scrapingwithlove. I have to tell 7 facts about myself and tag seven others, make a link to their post and let them know that they have been tagged!

1. I am a gadget type girl, I love having the "latest and greatest" gadget but I don't always give-in to the temptation to buy though.

2. I have a "thing" for purses and perfume!

3. I like sporty type cars but I'm not a fast driver.

4. I always thought of myself as a "girly girl" type but when I worked for GM, I spent 10 of my 26 yrs. there running a machine. Once I learned how to change tools and gage the parts, it was one of my favorite jobs!

5. I re-read my favorite books, I swear I always come across something I didn't see before!

6. I can't stand to walk bare footed...yuk!

7. I like to play bingo!

Now I have to tag 7 others. I will tag Rita, Jana, Gail, Beth, and I have to name three other people. It seems like everyone I know is already tagged.......

Silly Penguins for JBWW Challenge

I woke up this morning eager to make a card, I didn't feel "so hot" yesterday and could not focus on anything. Anyhow, I feel a lot better today and decided to make a winter themed card. It has been unseasonably warm in Michigan lately(upper 80's!) I decided to stamp the penguin trio from my Cats Pajamas Clearly Swanky Set for Sherry and Jeanne's JBWW Challenge. As a stamp, the penguins are a trio but I decided to make them individuals. I cut out and trimmed each penguin and used my markers to color in their caps. I applied yellow, green and blue Stickles to match their caps and used Liquid Pearls on the tips of the caps. I mounted the penguins onto a scalloped rectangle, that had brads to match the caps and used May Arts Ribbon to embellish. The sentiment is from The Cats Pajamas also.

cardstock: Papertrey Ink (white) and Bazzill (Baby Blue)
inks: Palette (Black) and Prismacolor Markers
ribbon: May Arts
stamp: The Cats Pajamas
sentiment: The Cats Pajamas
tools: Marvy's scallop rectangle punch (mega size)and my paper pierce tool
embellishments: Stickles Glue (Blue, Yellow and Green colors)and Liquid Pearls (White) The brads are from Making Memories and are in the regular size and the mini size.

ribbon: May Arts
stamp: High Hopes Rubber Stamps
sentiment: High Hopes Rubber Stamps

brads: Making Memories and I used my large scallop scissors and paper pierce tool

I had so much fun with the scallop challenge.....

I had so much fun with the scallop challenge at Caardvark's that I had to make another card. The first card looks better in real life, but my color combinations did not photograph well. I choose black and white for my second card. I feel much better about this card.

Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (white) and Bazzill
DSP: Unknown
tools: Su's Sm. flower punch, Mega scallop punch, paper pierce tool and 1 3/8 circle punch. I also used my scallop scissors for the scallop trim on the bottom of the card. The ribbon is May Arts and dimensionals were used for the scallop flower.

Caardvarks Scallop Challenge

I made this card for Caardvarks Scallop Challenge. This is a small card, only 4X4. I used my scalloped scissors for the top and bottom borders on this card and my scallop punch for the center piece. This card looks better IRL(in real life) than it does on my monitor. I took 14 pictures of this little card and I didn't care for either one. The Sm. flower stickers are from K&Co. ribbon from May Arts and cardstock is Stampin Up. I also used my paper piercing tool and my Signo pen to apply the faux stitching.
Thank you for stopping by:)

A card without a sentiment is a breeze....Jen's Sham Battle

A card without a sentiment is a breeze for me because I always get "stuck" on what to say. So when I read that Jen's Challenge this week is a card without a sentiment, I jumped on it! The card is self-explanatory, a kitten playing with yarn, (the rules are that readers are supposed to understand what is going on with the card.)

cardstock: //www.papertreyink.com">Papertrey Ink(white) and SU's Old olive
DSP: Dream Designs
stamp: High Hopes Rubber Stamps
ribbon: ribbon stash
inks: Palette(black) and H2O pencils and my markers to enhance colors

DCM & JBWW Challenges

I combined two challenges into one. DCM current challenge is "frame it" and JBWW Sunday Weekly Challenge is based on a sketch image by Sherry Cheever. I made my card according to the sketch and applied a frame to it.
The cardstock is SU's Chocolate Chip and DSP is Basic Grey's Infuse and Papertrey Ink White. The stamp is by High Hopes Rubber Stamps and the sentiment is by Verve Visual. I use my Prismacolor Pencil and OMS to color image. I also used my markers to outline my colored images. The frame is a dye-cut from my Sizzix Machine. To embellish my card I used Prima Sprites, Copper mini-brads from Making Memories, Chocolate Ribbon from SU and a I used Gold Glimmer Mist on the final Card.
Thank you for stopping by:)
