Pixie Cottage #47....Team Sketch/Paper Piecing

Hello Everyone,

I'm "back in the drivers seat" and finally starting to feel better and what a relief that is...my poor nose is raw...I feel like Rudolph. The only difference is Rudolph's nose was cute, mine isn't! Smiley from millan.net

This weeks Pixie Cottage Challenge is a team sketch and the theme is Paper Piecing. As with all of our challenges , you have a choice. You can either make a card based on the team sketch or you can make a card based on this weeks theme.

I paper pieced Cassie's dress with a scrap piece of design paper and put everything together layer by layer. With my base layer, I colored in the stockings, the ribbon and shoes and for the second layer, I added the paper pieced dress. For the final layer, I attached my images upper body (the head, pony tail, neck and arms supporting the kitty were all one piece that was already colored in , cut out and put aside) I carefully lined everything up and applied my images upper body to the paper pieced dress. * I use Tombow Glue and you only need a little bit. I apply the glue in a series of tiny dots and use my craft tweezers when layering*

I also want to thank everyone for their kind comments. It is a bummer to be sick and I'm so thankful that I am finally getting over this. Once again, thank all of you, I am so blessed to have met some of the best people in the world. People that I will most likely never meet in real life but that's OK ....I'm just thankful and blessed for the opportunity to have met some of the best people in the world!

*I'm a little drowsy from my meds. but will come back and add card details etc. later tonight.

hugs
