Scrolling Hearts and Roses

Hello Everyone,
The year hasn't quite gotten off the ground and I already have messed up! I was supposed to have a card made for LOTV Thursday's first challenge of the year and somehow I had my dates crossed! I feel so terrible for neglecting my DT duties and I can tell you that this won't happen again. I made a copy of all of my DT duties and the list is posted near my desk (where it should have been in the first place)

As I stated in my last post, my "mojo" had disappeared and I had a difficult time trying to make anything. Although a resting period after Christmas was refreshing, I think too much rest was harmful on the creativity end.

Any Whoo......I finally managed to finish both of these Magnolia cards and I'm pleased with the results. The card featuring Sparkling Tilda as an Afro American is made in the traditional card style and the card featuring Tilda as a Caucasian is an easel card.

I received this awesome scroll & heart punch from Michelle (owner of The Pixie Cottage) and I'm so impressed with this neat tool! I was able to punch through my card stock without any paper jams and the intricate heart & scroll punched clean every time! Another fab feature is that this punch (by EK Success) has a button on the bottom that allows the punch to fold almost flat for easier storage. Too see more of what The Pixie Cottage has to offer, click here.

Both images of Sparkling Tilda have been colored in with Copic Markers and mounted onto either the oval or small Nesties die.

Card Details
stamp Magnolia's Sparkling Tilda, sentiment Stamping Bella, c/s PTI and Bazzill, DP October Afternoon, inks Memento Black and Copic Markers. Tools EK Success Scroll & Heart punch, Cuttle Bug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Nesties oval and square scallop dies. Embellishments ribbon, Prima mini roses, Prima rose buds , exra fine glitter and half pearls.

Well, it is time for me to get into gear and answer and take care of a few business matters. Thank you all so much for stopping by and I hope you have a beautiful day!

hugs

Risa

I totally agree - my mojo is best when I'm doing something everyday. If I stop for a long period, I have trouble getting back in the grove!

But I think you're back! I love both your angels. I love the different coloring and skin tones you used. Would you post the colors you use for the skin tones, please! I feel like I'm in a rut and need to branch out of E000, E00 and R20. :D
