Strut your stuff!

I turned a goof- up into a good thing with this card. While I was measuring my 12X12 piece of cardstock, I somehow overlooked my measuring point on my Scor Pal! I didn't notice the error until I cut my card stock on my paper trimmer!!! I was really mad at myself at first and then I calmed down and said to myself "you are going to USE IT as it is" and that is what I did! The card face is shorter(3 1/2 X 5 1/2) and the rear is the standard card size ....to this day I don't know how I messed up the measurements!! Anyhow, after I jazzed the card up, I was pleased with the results! To give the card some balance, I cut a piece of DP (Glitz Paper Co.) and used my scallop scissors for a decorative border. Then I attached the DP to the inside of the card and layered a smaller piece of c/s to the DP for a finished inside look. The scalloped border serves as an decorative edge.
The card front's DP is by the Glitz Company and I used White c/s to mat it. Both stamps and sentiment are from the Odd Bird Planet (formally Just Johanna's). I stamped the flamingo and floral flourish on an imaging sheet using my thing-a-ma-jig. Then I lined up the imaging sheet on the oval shaped c/s and stamped both of the images. I colored in the images with my Copic Markers and embellished with extra fine glitter. Although it sounds like it was a lot of work, once I "got into it" everything came together rather quickly and I was pleased with the outcome!

Details:
stamp and sentiment: Odd Bird Planet, c/s Papertrey Ink and Bazzill Black and Rose Shimmer, DP Glitz Paper Co., Spellbinders oval templates, inks Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers, flowers SU and Prima, ribbon Really Reasonable Ribbon, scallop scissors, paper pierce tool, brads and Dew Drops

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

I would have never known it was a goof up. I love the shortened, scalloped front side and that is a cute JJ stamp.
