I found a few Afro American stamps at the
Rubbernecker Stamp Company that I
had to have! In honor of
Black History Month, I will post a card featuring one of these beautiful stamped images throughout the month of February. I thought that
Verve Visuals sketch was perfect for my image. I brought all of the images that were shown at
Rubbernecker Stamps. I have to admit that coloring these images was a challenge. I had to leave my desk several times in frustration and just stay away a few hours or a day even! In order to get the right skin tone, I had to picture a person I knew in my mind. Thank goodness I had ordered a bottle of Colorless Blending Solution. I ran out a few times and had to re-fill my Copic Marker container. I'm not a "pro" but I realize that in order to achieve various skin tones, I had to start with the color Skin White and layer and blend the colors sand, tan and brown. Afro Americans come in a variety of colors and I'm going to try to achieve the various skin tones each time I post a different card.
