Celebrate Halloween Bella Style!

Well we're into the Labor Day weekend and its slow moving around here. We don't have anything special planned and I like it this way for a change! If the mood strikes, we might go out to dinner and catch a movie. So....in keeping with the lazy theme, I probably won't post anymore until Tuesday morning.

While puttering in my craft room, my eyes came across my neglected Bella stamps. I think this Trick or Treat a Bella is is a cute one and decided to play and make a couple of cards with it.
I'll post the other Bella cards sometime next week.

Take care of yourselves and have a terrific safe holiday weekend and thank you for stopping byFree Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net

Hoot Owls!

Hello everyone!
I'm sorry that I have been MIA the past couple of days. Its been quite hectic around here lately and hopefully life will return to "normal" when the kids start school next Tuesday!! I know that in some states school starts in August, but in my area school starts the day after Labor Day. I think that I'm more excited about the first day of school than my kids!

Although life has been hectic, I was able to finish a couple of cards. I brought my first Rachelle Ann Miller Stamp from Little C's and this stamp is part of the new Lily and Milo collection from Rachelle Ann Miller . I also pre-ordered a few Rachelle Ann Miller and Sarah Kay stamps from Little C's and I can't wait to get my hands on them. Click here to see what's new!

I hope that everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday weekend and thank you for stopping by!

LCWC #6

Today is Tuesday and its time for another Little C's Weekly Challenge!!!! This weeks sketch is from a older Paper Craft magazine and I really like it! In fact.....I plan on making a few more cards using this sketch.

For this challenge, I decided to use various sized circles and mat them. After I decided on which prints to use, I matted them to my card and to make the main circle stand out, I popped a few dimensionals underneath it. I wanted to use white ink for my sentiment, but the white ink faded into the DSP. If I had some white embossing powder, I would have embossed my sentiment instead of using black ink. I also added some small felt flowers and embellished my circles and flowers with small pearls.

For more inspiration, click on the other Little C's design team members to see their lovely creations! Just a reminder...for a chance to win this weeks featured prize, submit your creations to Jen (Pieces of Me!) Have fun with this weeks challenge and we look forward to viewing your creations:)

Another Halloween Card!

Another Halloween Card.....yep...you read it right! LOL
I always stamp two images whenever I make a card and instead of saving the second image for later, I made a 4X4 Halloween note card when I finished my Wrap Around Card.

Oh....speaking of my "Wrap Around Card", when I saw the DT creations I was in awe!!! Was I on the wrong track or WHAT!!!LOL Now that I have seen "the light", I'm going re-visit my craft table and make another Wrap Around Card! This is a personal challenge for myself!

Back to my 4X4 note card... I love making smaller size cards,What a great way to use up the scrap stash! I didn't use a sentiment for this card because the paper says Happy Halloween repeatedly in various languages. The stamp is from Penny Black and I used my Copic Markers to color. The cardstock is from PTI and the DP is from Imaginisce. I made the tabs using my word window punch (SU) and embellished the tabs with gold mini brads.

Thanks for listening to my rant and have a great day!:)

Good afternoon everyone!

Experimenting with Flap Cards

Hello and I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! At the moment it is warm and humid here today. The past few days have been on the coool side but perfect weather for me. Its hard to believe that September is right around the corner...where did the summer go?

To explain what I mean about experimenting, I ran across a Flap Card tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers and I decided to give it a try. The card itself is relatively easy to make! My only problem was deciding on an image to cover the flap portion. Once I get all of my ideas in order, I'm going to make a few of these Flap style cards for Christmas. I think this style is perfect for gift and money cards.

Since I was experimenting, everything except for the image is from my stash. The very talented Barbara sent me these lovely images and I colored them in with my Copic Markers. To help give the cherries a bit of a sheen, I applied some Liquid Glass and let it dry overnight.

Detals........

c/s and DP and ribbon from my stash,Other embellishments are scallop scissors, paper pierce tool and Dew Drops. The image a gift from Barb W. Thank you Barb!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day:)

Another Sarah Kay Card

Hello everyone and if you are an Olympic fan, are you enjoying watching those incredible athletes? I can only imagine how the winners feel standing on the podium with that gold medal around their neck.....it must be heavenly!
I'm not going to bore you talking about the Olympics....lol.... cause I can talk about the events for hours! lol Let's talk about the the card!
I think this image is cute but I did have a hard time coloring the puppy. I think my ink was too heavy and at times it was hard to distinguish the bodice of the dress from the puppy! After straining my eyes a bit, I think I colored everything in the appropriate places. *smile*
This Sarah Kay Stamp and the designer paper (3 Bugs in a Rug) can be found at Little C's Stamps and Things.
The inks are Adirondack Pitch Black, Impress Olive Green and Copic Markers. I also used Spellbinders rectangle and small circle templates and the sentiment is SU's Circle of Friendship collection. The embellishments are paper piercing, flowers, pearls and ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day:)

Two for Two Sunday!

Hello everyone and a big big thank you for all of the kind comments and well wishes for my MIL! She is doing fine and getting around better than me!!!! *lol*

After a brief hiatus, I caught *$@% trying to get back into the swing of things!!! I tell you, if you miss a couple of days creating, your creative mode of thinking seems to just disappear and that is a terrible feeling! But.....before I post my card, I'm going to post some beautiful RAKs and blog candy that I have received this past week.

From Allison

From Anna Purna

From Tami Jo....blog candy and a candy bar from Romania!!!! (very yummy)

Thank you so so much for the beautiful RAK's and the awesome blog candy, all of these gifts truly made my day!

Anthony & Burt

This card was made with the new Anthony & Burt Stamps from Little C's! For the froggy lovers out there, these stamps featuring Anthony and Burt are a wonderful and fun collection of stamps to own! To see the different images of these two unlikely buddies click here.

details.............
Stamp Anthony & Burt from Little C's, sentiment from SU's Circle of Friends, inks Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers, c/s Bazzill and DP from my stash. I used Spellbinders sm. scallop circle template and my 1" circle punch to mat sentiment. To stay with the theme I used twine instead of ribbon to embellish my card. I applied Liquid Glass over the cup to help give it the look of a ceramic cup. I also applied glitter to Burt's wings and paper pierced the first mat.

Have a enjoyable evening and if you are an Olympic Fan (like me) I hope you are enjoying the games!!!
