Christmas Card Parade!
Hello everyone!
While I'm passing the time and cleaning up our holiday mess, I would like to show a few cards that I made right before the holidays. While trying to make up for lost time, my creating window was very short. Therefore I didn't have time to write a list of the supplies that I used for my projects.
I hope everyone is having a beautiful and safe holiday. Enjoy every moment and I'll be around daily to catch up on all of your wonderful creations. Take care and God Bless!
Hugs:)

I'm almost there!
Good Evening Everyone!
I am feeling 90% better and I want to thank everyone for their kind and warm words of encouragement. I really missed sitting at my craft table and I have spent as much time as possible creating cards and projects for my family and friends the past couple of days. Although my doctor has warned me to take it easy, I think it's OK to make a few cards. *LOL
As I write this post, I'm listening to the weather report. Gosh......more snow on top of snow...like a gift that keeps on giving!
In the meantime, I have to return to wrapping presents etc. I am sooooooooo far behind on everything! (anybody have a magic wand they want to lend me?)
But before I go, I would like to share with you a few RAKS I received from Rita , Cheryl, Jana
and a RAK plus blog candy winnings from Rina.
RAKS and gifts from Rita
RAK from Cheryl RAK from Jana ----------->
RAK and blog candy I won from Rina...... I was totally blown away when I opened the package!
These ladies are "the best" and thank you for the beautiful cards and gorgeous gifts!
Take care everyone and if you live in the north, try to stay warm and drive carefully out there!

Hello!!!!!!
Good Morning everyone and yes......I'm still here!
I think I "over-did" it a bit over the holiday and I paid for it dearly last week (and I still am!) I meant to inform everyone earlier about my absence and I'm just getting around to it. *tsk tsk tsk*
To make a long story short, I suffer from pinched nerves in my back and neck and when they become inflamed it is very painful and uncomfortable. I have been to my doctor for the unbearable pain and had to have pain shots in both my neck and back. The shots have relieved my pain somewhat and the medication I take is helping. I'm taking one day at a time and I hope to return to blogging sometime this week.
Take care and I'll see you soon:)

Happy Thanksging Everyone!
Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
I'm going to make this post a brief one today because I know that most people will be spending the day with their family and love ones. I'm almost finished cooking my dinner and in a couple of hours my family members will be here to have dinner with us. Have a beautiful day celebrating and giving thanks.
Hugs
Risa
p.s. Anyone out there getting up in the wee hours of the morning to go shopping? My husband says I'm foolish but for the past 10 yrs., holiday shopping in the wee hours of the morning the day after Thanksgiving has been a tradition for me.
Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

LCWC #19
Today is Tuesday and time for another Little C's Weekly Challenge. This weeks challenge was chosen by our very own DT member Teri! Teri decided to use this cute sketch from CPS (Card Positioning Systems) This is a awesome sketch and very versatile...thank you for the inspiration Teri!
I decided on a clean and simple Christmas card for this challenge. I used textured card stock for my mat and paper pierced around the edges. Instead of stamping and coloring in images, I decided to use rub-ons instead. The rub-ons are from SU's Word Flurries packet. The ribbon I used is white and has specks of silver glitter in it and IRL it is very pretty. I added silver cord, a snow flake thicker and a silver filigree brad (SU) for embellishment.
For more inspiration, check out the other Little C's DT members!

Elzybell!
Good Monday Morning!
I can't believe how good I feel today! Usually I have the Monday blahs, but today I feel great! Over the weekend I managed to get a lot done and on top of that, I went to see the movie Twilight twice!!! I guess I really liked it to pay to see it twice. Well...enough babbling and onto my card:)
While going through my stash of growing stamps, I came across this petite Elzybells Art stamp that I purchased from A Muse last winter. This stamp was pretty hot last year and in my mind it still is an awesome stamp. The sketch idea for this card is based on Mojo Monday #60 which is designed by Julee Tilman. I really like this verstile sketch idea alot and thanks for the inspiration Julee!
The Elzybells Art Stamp is from A Muse and the name of the stamp is Winter Girl. The card stocks used are Stampers Select White(PTI) and pink pirouette and kiwi kiss (SU). The design paper is from Imaginisce (Snowy Jo Cup of Cheer) and full of Christmas sentiments which is why I omitted a sentiment. The inks used were Adirondack Pitch Black and Copic Markers. To further embellish my card, I used my sewing machine and sewed around the edges of the DP. I also used my lace border punch (Martha Stewart) , corner rounder punch (SU) and small oval templates (Nestabilities). To enhance the look of snow, I used Crystal Snow glitter from Stampendous and added ribbon, silver cord, pearls and a tiny bell.
Don't forget to stop by tomorrow to see what's up with Little C's Weekly Challanges! Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Mr. Twigster !
Good Morning and thank goodness today is Friday. I have so many things to do before the kids get out of school today. But before I get started running any errands, I want to share a card I made from the stamp set (Mr. Twigster) which was a gift from my friend Teri.
I think this stamp set from SU is adorable..... try to imagine a snowman with legs and wearing boots even! lol At any rate....I think Mr. Twigster is adorable....legs and boots included.
Originally I had made this card for Mojo sketch #60, but I didn't finish it in time. I really like this sketch designed by Julee and I'm sure I will use it often. The majority of the supplies for this card are from SU, with the exception of Copic Markers, pearls and the crystal snow.
Here are the details..............................
stamp SU's Mr. Twigster, DSP SU's Ski Slope, c/s PTI, Whisper White and Baja Breeze, ribbon Baja Breeze and Really Reasonable Ribbon, inks Copic Markers, Nestabilities sm. oval dies, Crystal Snow (Stampendous) and white pearls
For the movie lovers out there........
If any of you are fans of the book Twilight, you are more than aware that the movie debuted last night. I'm a sucker for love stories and from the moment I started to read the book... I was hooked! So, I have made plans to see this movie this evening and I really hope that the movie is as good as the book!
Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!!!
