Allison's Selective Sunday Challenge

This little compact card is for Allison's Selective Sunday Water Challenge. After reading Allison's blog to see what the challenge was about, I took the plunge and "got busy"

I have been practicing on making circular cards and finally "got it right" after a few trials and errors. I used my largest Nestability scallop circle die for the base of this card. All I did was place the scallop die on a piece of folded cardstock. (4 1/2 X 4 1/2) In order to make the circular card open up like a book, the die has to overlap a bit on the folded seam of the cardstock. I don't have a measurement, I "eyeballed" the distance. I followed this same procedure for the entire card. After I finished assembling the card, it reminded me of a make-up compact.

So ....this idea pops into my head to place a picture where the mirror normally is and stamp a small message where the make-up is positioned. I ran an old picture of my son through the Wizard , using a smaller scallop and circle die. After that I stamped my message on the inside of the card and added a bit of journaling to make it complete.
