I found this awesome tutorial on Teri's blog (Big ideas from a little girl) and I knew right away that I had to try it! Thanks for the inspiration Teri!
What is so cool about this file folder is that you can leave it plain and embellish with a belly band or you can decorate it to the hilt! I embellished my folder by adhering design paper from DCWV (Die Cuts With A View), flowers and my Bildmalarna (Mimosa Angel) image, felt flowers and half pearls. The sentiment that I am going to apply later will read "Just for you!"
My image is colored in with Copic markers and matted with nesties circle and scalloped circle dies. I applied extra fine glitter to her wings and applied Liquid Glass to the heart on her dress.
Instead of using Velcro as a clasp, I used mini magnets. The magnets are held in place with mini glue dots. I covered the nakedness of the magnets by punching one inch circles with scrap paper and adhered the circles over the magnets.
This file folder is perfect for sending off small treats to special friends!
Well, I'm going to take advantage of my quiet morning and work on a project for World Card Making Day. Tomorrow should be a fun filled day and did I mention awesome sales?!
